2013 Richmond
Photos from our overnight trip to Richmond to see the Chihuly exhibit at the Virginian Museum of Fine Arts.
I am not sure what to think of the Chihuly work. At its worst, it is flamboyant eye-candy and there is nothing wrong with that.

Glass cylinders. Chihuly "discovered" this form relatively recently. He likes them because they can represent many things and can be installed in a variety of settings. They also strong and relatively easy to transport. An installation of red cylinders was given by Chihuly to the Museum. It is set outside in a reflecting pool.
