130419 Chicago 112
The Willis (neé Sears) Tower viewed from the Chicago River. This building is, at its pinnacle, 1729 feet (527 m), high.
The building in front of it, 311 Wacker Drive, is 931 feet (293 m) high. Because this photo was taken so close to the two buildings, the disparity in height is not as apparent as it is in reality. The shadow of 311 Wacker Drive on the side of the Willis Tower gives a sense of the difference in heights.
